From assessment by various experts and investment researchers: Vân Phong – Đại Lãnh is one of the most beautiful coastal eco-tourism areas in Việt Nam and in the region. Especially, there remains a unique wild nature ecology system in the Southeast Asia. The beach is wide and wonderful with smooth sand, pure water and green poplar forest stretching along the beach. Đại Lãnh has been seen as one of the great landscapes of Việt Nam. Noticeably, in Vân Phong, it is warm around the year and there remains unexploited nature. It is a destination with ideal conditions for developing a tourism area attracting international and local tourists. Since the road with distance of 18km from Cổ Mã pass to Đầm Môn with was put into use, it has created more favorable conditions for visitors to travel toward Vân Phong for their swimming, diving, sightseeing, visiting villages in the islands namely Đầm Môn, Ninh Đảo, Khải Lương, Vĩnh Yên and Điệp Sơn. And the most attractive site is Đầm Môn with more than 30 nice swimming places and most of them are wild, e.g Sơn Đừng, Tây, Búa, Nhàu, Lách beaches, etc
The Vân Phong bay is around 20 - 30m deep, with green water; there are a lot of stone caves and coral in the bottom and become popular for diving. After going around the island of Hòn Ông, the boat shall stop at Sơn Đừng beach so that visitor can see the dunes of Sea Breast, conquering abundant sand dunes in Đầm Môn. From the peaks of these sand dunes, visitors can see the panorama of Đầm Môn – Vân Phong and go skidding from the peaks to the bottoms. Once upon arrival, visitors also have opportunity to visit fishing villages, lobster-cultivating farm, pearl-oyster cultivating farm; fishing cuttlefish in a small bamboo boat with local people or going to the forest for swimming in the streams, etc. The interesting in Đầm Môn village is that visitors have chance to enjoy sea-food dishes with rice-wine made by local people.
Coming to Vân Phong, it is impossible for visitors not to stop at Xuân Đừng site. Xuân Đừng seems to be unique not only because there are only 11 householders living mostly in separation with outside world, but there remains fresh water springs by the seaside. Sitting by the seaside, making a small well then fresh water shall leak out and deposit therein. As the boat passes the site, fishermen often use the buckets and barrel to take the fresh water. The local people also use this type of fresh water endowed by the nature for their daily activities.
Vân Phong is really an ideal tourism area for local and international tourists to visit and relax.
