Yen Tu festival lasts from Lunar January 9 to the end of Lunar March and is known as one of the largest and longest events in Viet Nam.
Following solemn rites performed at the foot of Yen Tu mountain, the pilgrimage of tens of thousands of followers to the Bronze pagoda atop starts. In the mild spring day, hearts are set ablaze with zeal. The landscape of the Buddhist realm is imposing and divine, further fueling energy within Buddhist followers to com praying for good luck and peace to reign in their families.
The 2018 Yen Tu festival will have a pilgrimage village at the foot of Yen Tu mountain inaugurated, including a community center, where community cultural activities take place; souvenir booths for traditional craft villages to promote and introduce their products and processes so that visitors can directly experience and interact with craftsmen; an Oriental medicine zone, food court and display gallery of calligraphy. All constructions are modeled after the architecture of Tran dynasty in the 13th century from the master plan to every single detail. Activities of the village are meant to reenact the authentic beauty and spread cultural, ideological and historical contributions of Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong and Tran dynasty. Climbing up the peak at 1,068m, the sky and the earth subsides, only “clouds embrace mountains and mountains embrace clouds” that look so fascinating. Thien Truc pagoda, also known as the Bronze Pagoda appears so imposing with its roof tiled in bronze. Beside is a big flat monolithic rock called the Fairy Chessboard and a huge “Buddha” character inscribed on the cliff. There are inside the pagodas 2 monolithic bronze statues. All ooze divinity, mystery and inexplicable charm of Yen Tu. Here, in fine days, visitors can even take a panorama of the Northeastern sea of Viet Nam.
In response to the 2018 National Tourist Year in Quang Ninh, Yen Tu Festival 2018 is due to be opened at the Opening Year as part of the complex of the Exculpation Bus Station Festival and Tourist Services Center as entitled “Yen Tu Cherry Blossom – Ochna Festival”, which is a new feature expected to enliven the attractiveness of this tourist magnet.
According to Tung Lam Development Joint Stock Company, the management unit and operator of Yen Tu tourist services, the quotation of services is as follows: 1. 2017 Yen Tu cable car quotation Hoang Long one-way route (Route 1): Ticket fare: VND120,000/person Bach Long one-way route (Route 2): Ticket fare: VND120,000/person Two-way route down: Ticket fare: VND200,000/person Hoang Long two-way route (Route 1): Ticket fare: VND200,000/person Bach Long two-way route (Route 2): Ticket fare: VND200,000/person Both two-way routes: Ticket fare: VND280,000/person * People exempt from ticket fares: Buddhist monks, older people over 70 (ID card/Elderly card presented), veterans (veteran card presented) and children below 1.2m 2.
