Given all those good conditions, Quang Ninh authorities have determined to promote tourism as an increasingly important economic sector of the economic breakdown structure and towards more professional, advanced, well-oriented, well instructed quality with major aims at the domestic market and promotional activities to allure foreign travelers.

Entitled “Ha Long - Heritage, Wonder - Friendly Destination”, the 2018 Visit Vietnam Year - Ha Long - Quang Ninh was regarded by the authorities, Party branches at all levels and people as a big opportunity to promote and introduce the people, province and culture of Quang Ninh to our friends and domestic and international visitors, and also a golden chance for the province to introduce, communicate and inform tourism and enhance the operational efficacy of all potentials of the provincial tourist sector. The organization and implementation of communicational campaigns for the 2018 Visit Vietnam Year are of great importance in order to call for greater support and participation of media agents, press agents as well as businesses, organizations and individuals inside and outside the country.

Accordingly, Quang Ninh authorities have carried out media activities for the Visit Vietnam Year - Ha Long - Quang Ninh 2018 in a different ways, with strong focus on promotions and communications on traditional media channels such as the press, and consistently deploy and project the greatest strength of all media channels combined, including printed newspapers, radio, television and electronic newspapers. The Organizer Board has set up a plan to sit down with the Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam to register the schedule of live program and live broadcast of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 Visit Vietnam Year on the national air, provide and update information of festivities of the 2018 Visit Vietnam Year on all provincial newspapers and other press agents who have cooperated with the provincial authorities, hold press releases of the Visit Vietnam Year 2018 and other major events as part of the festival, set up publications (leaflets, tear sheets, brochures, photo books, event calendars or posters…) and enhance visual promotional tools (banners, signs, posters, LED screens, etc.).
In addition, promotions on the net are also given strong attention from the Organizer Board with a series of activities, including: building up and operating the official Facebook fanpage of the Year, updating and propping up the information and promotions on website halongtourism.com.vn, bolstering a thematic Visit Vietnam Year 2018 and provide info to online newspapers of this event…
On the other hand, the Organizer Board also proactively carries out communicational activities for the Visit Vietnam Year 2018 by holding a press competition of Ha Long - Quang Ninh tourism and provides information for tourist business and travel agencies, arranges both domestic and international farm trip and press trip delegations to promote key tourist attractions and travel as a whole. We will also attend tourist fairs and promotional activities inside and outside the country to introduce the 2018 Visit Vietnam Year… In addition, to project a more lively introduction of festivities of the 2018 Visit Vietnam Year as well as potentials of Quang Ninh tourism, many publications are due to be released, including brochures, event calendars, tourist posters, photo books of Ha Long bay, souvenir sets for delegates of festivities and events of the 2018 Visit Vietnam Year, travel agencies or correspondents…
