The Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 introduce and promote the distinctive qualities and outstanding values of the province's tourism resources, especially the value of the World Cultural and Natural Hertiage Trang An Landscape Complex; promote and introduce the tourism products and services of Ninh Binh to domestic and international visitors, as well as continue to affirm the position of the Ninh tourism industry branded as a safe, friendly, quality and attractive destination; stimulate tourism demand to attract more visitors to Ninh Binh during the low season, and to utilize Ninh Binh Tourism Week as a promotion eventas well as a special annual provincial tourism product playing a key role in the revival and the development of the tourism industry.
The event aims to draw 1,500 delegates, including those from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassadors from 15 nations, international tourism associations operating in Vietnam, leaders from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Vietnam Tourism Association, UNESCO Travel Club, the heads of Ninh Binh province and 13 other localities, representatives from tourism businesses, and members of the local press. About 200 international and domestic travel companies, and more than 100 photographers from across the country, are expected to join the event.
The opening ceremony will take place on the morning of May 27 at a lively outdoor stage on the vast rice field along the Tam Coc tourist route in Ninh Hai Commune. The ceremony will be livestreamed by Vietnam Television and Ninh Binh Television on their digital platforms.
Activities during Tourism Week 2023 are organizing walking street; exhibition of traditional handicrafts and provincial OCOP products; organizing survey program to introduce Ninh Binh tourism products (FAMTRIP, PRESSTRIP); exhibition of artistic photography “The Golden Tam Coc – Trang An”; water puppetry, chèo singing, xẩm singing, and folk music from the 3 regions of Vietnam; exhibition of cultural vestiges under Tran dynasty within Trang An world heritage site...
Tam Coc rice field has been listed among the most beautiful in Vietnam, and a new feature in the 2023 version is a poetic 9,500sq.m image that stretches along the Ngo Dong river. It symbolises abundance and the bountiful water element that supports the sustainable development of green tourism in the ancient capital of Hoa Lu.
The event will provide numerous opportunities for visitors to indulge in a chain of inspiring activities, such as discovering the unique culinary culture of the region at Tam Coc's pedestrian street and food market.
Visitors will be able to join photo tours, see an exhibition of artistic photography, explore the region's traditional handicraft items, enjoy water puppetry, and listen to Cheo and Xam singing and folk music from Vietnam’s three regions, plus many other cultural activities.
