Over the past time, the promotion of Ha Noi has made positive changes, professionalism step by step, with the establishment and operation of Ha Noi Investment, Trade, Tourism Center (Ha Noi Promotion Agency - HPA) - the first real model of the whole country to promote all three areas of investment, trade and tourism as a focal point.
Promoting tourism
With the objective of bringing capital tourism to match with the available potentials, HPA has actively deployed tourism promotion activities domestic and abroad, initially achieving certain results. Programs on promotion of basic tourism have been implemented in the right focus way.
HPA continues to cooperate with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to participate in International Tourism Fair WTM London (England); preside and participate in tourism promotion fair in JATA Japan and cooperation in tourism development in Japan; coordinated with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to organize a road show promoting the destination of Ha Noi tourism in the North American market from 15th to 23thhhhth September 2018; host and participate in the France International Travel Fair (Top Resa) from 24th September to 1st October 2018...
In addition to tourism promotion activities in foreign markets, HPA cooperates with Tourism and Tourism Department of Ha Noi to participate in tourism and festival fairs in provinces and cities throughout the country, contributing to create opportunities for enterprises to approach and cooperate to build and develop new inter-branch and inter-regional tourist products.
HPA continues to promote and advertise domestic tourism such as participating in the National Tourism Year programs in Quang Ninh from 29 September to 1st October 2018; Ho Chi Minh International Travel Fair ITE from 4th to 9th September 2018 and promote Ha Noi tourism in the southern provinces (Ho Chi Minh city, Can Tho, Kien Giang). In addition, it will continue to promote through major international media channels, build new good quality publications.
Investment and development cooperation
With its role as a focal point in the city's promotion work, the HPA has taken the initiative in developing an Action Plan, a detailed implementation plan, and an emphasis on international cooperation in science and technology, investment, trade, tourism promotion.
Up to now, Ha Noi is still in the top of the country in terms of administrative reform, support and business services, reflected through the strong application of information technology in business registration, tax declaration and payment, customs clearance... Along with that, Ha Noi always take the initiative to organize events, dialogue with investors, find out problems and meet the legitimate requirements of foreign investment enterprises timely, at the same time, Ha Noi always accompany with businesses. In the first seven months of 2018, Ha Noi attracted the most foreign investment capital with total registered capital of US $ 6.17 billion, accounting for 26.9% of total investment capital (according to data of the Foreign Investment Agency Planning & Investment), surpassing the second position of $ 4.12 billion in total registered capital of Ho Chi Minh city.
Attracting investors, removing difficulties for enterprises, improving the investment environment, business continued to be directed by Ha Noi People's Committee comprehensive guidance. The city promotes investment promotion of new projects, while actively urging professional agencies to help investors solve difficulties in the process of project implementation.
In the near future, HPA will continue to concentrate on directing the project of investment, trade and tourism promotion of the city from 2018 to 2020 and heading to 2030; review and implement immediately the contents of the promotion programs that already been approved by the city in Program No 72 / CTr-UBND on investment, trade and tourism promotion in Ha Noi in 2018, make sure all activities are on schedule to achieve high efficiency; direct and link major activities at the end of the year such as Promotion Month, regional specialties fairs and exhibitions of handicraft gifts, in which invited experts to design 3D printing technology from foreign countries to introducte and transfer technology to the production of Viet Nam; continue researching and developing quality promotion publications for the city's investment, trade and tourism promotion activities.
It is expected that in 2019, HPA will continue to build and implement good marketing program, product promotion and tourism destination, as a channel to introduce tourism products to tourists; promote the brand identity of Ha Noi tourism, bringing into full play the strength of Ha Noi tourism - a prominent tourist destination of Viet Nam and the region; promote activities in key markets of Viet Nam tourism, Ha Noi tourism and major tourism fairs in the world: Japan, Europe, North America, Southeast Asia; advertise Ha Noi tourism on the internet, famous foreign television networks, applications on smart phones, social networks; step by step build a system of information technology application in tourism management; deploy smart travel systems; train and develop high quality tourism human resources, approach the world level to undertake the management of economic development of tourism; expand of new marketing methods to attract MICE travelers and business travelers.
In July, the number of international visitors in Ha Noi was estimated at 288 thousand, increased about 9.2% over the previous month and up 1.1% over the same period (bringing the total number of international visitors staying at Ha Noi in the first 7 months of 2018 reached 2.44 million, up 20.5% over the same period); Domestic visitors to Ha Noi reached 6,628 thousand, increased about 15.5% over the same period last year; In terms of revenue, tourism, food and beverage services, travel services was estimated at VND 37,757 billion, increased about 8.8% over the same period.
