The festival was organized with various new and impressive features. Besides advertising through booths and miniature models of landscapes such as Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy, Hoa Lo prison, and Ha Noi’s Old Quarter, among others, the festival also showcases a “technological wall”. By just touching the icons, visitors will be taken to many different tourist attractions through an interactive LED screen
This year’s festival involves the participation of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and nearly 100 businesses, including big names like Vietnam Airlines, Hanoitourist Corporation, Capital Tourism Club, and Vietravel Company, among others.
In addition to Ha Noi as the host, nine provinces and cities with tourism potential also sent representatives to the event, namely Yen Bai, An Giang, Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Thua Thien – Hue, Quang Binh, Ha Giang, Lai Chau and Phu Tho.
Coming to the festival, visitors would be offered many preferential tours included in the tourism, stimulation program of Ha Noi as well as other provinces and cities. Besides learning about tours, they can also discover a number of traditional craft village products such as Ha Thai lacquerware, Thuy Ung fine art horn, or Quat Dong hand embroidery, together with Ha Noi’s typical dishes like Thanh Tri steamed rice rolls, Phung spring rolls, Son Tay crystal rice cakes, Hang Than rice flake cakes, and West Lake lotus tea.
According to Deputy General Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Ha Van Sieu, the event will create favorable conditions for tourism businesses to develop networks and markets, seek partners, as well as associate their products with inter-regional ones.
“The festival is attracting domestic and international tourists to Ha Noi, encouraging Hanoians to travel around the capital city and to other provinces and cities across the country, thereby enhancing the recovery of the tourism industry,” he stated
Director of the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion (HPA) Nguyen Anh Duong shared that, the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2022 being held during SEA Games 31 would create opportunities for businesses and craft villages to advertise tourism products and services.
According to the Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Nguyen Manh Quyen, the festival was an important event, as a confirmation that Hanoi had returned to the new normal in terms of tourism activities in particular and all aspects of life in general.
“Tourism is increasingly regarded as one of the significant economic sectors, which plays a positive role in the overall development of the economy. Therefore, Hanoi city expects every citizen to promote the image of Hanoi’s culture and people, thereby attracting domestic and international tourists to the capital,” Quyen emphasized.
