Carnaval Hạ Long 2008 – places of interest

6 model-ships are 6 mobile stages on bay with 6-themed agenda:

          �- Legendary Hạ Long.

- The untouched beauty.

          �- Hạ Long, the museum of sea culture.

          �- Hạ Long, the geological museum.

          �- Hạ Long, the ideal seascape.

          �- Hạ Long, a wonder of stone-mounts.

It’s also the first time that a Carnaval will be staged both on sea and on land (along the sea-coast) and these stages will focally promote for the vote of Hạ Long bay as the world’s new 7 wonders.

Carnaval Hạ Long 2008 are really street activities associated with the locals, the spectators and the tourists. The first part of Carnaval will be spent to show marine beauty and marine life, part II will�be for street activities traditionally and modernly.

To turn Carnaval Hạ Long into annual ceremony, in order to lure more and more visitors to promote local cultural identities and attractive products of Quảng Ninh and Việt Nam, Carnaval 2008 will present surprisingly typical images by fashion-show and 10-group performances on streets. Apart from 10 model-flower cars and 8 models of marine life, there will be in show 800 costumes that can never be seen anywhere, and�there are also 10 characters for ten-group themes personified in 8 colossal costumes: 4-panel long robes (10m long) presented by Queen fine-arts, Queen fire, Ocean Goddess, Sun Goddess and mermaid...

Carnaval 2008 will be staged on Cửa Lục bay, Bãi Cháy bridge and Hạ Long coastal line with about 3,000 participants.

800 professional artists in circus, dance, drama, marital music, dance of unicorn�- lion – dragon, walker on stilts, beauty-queens, singers, models.

          �- Over 1000 semi-professional artists, students and athletes.

          �- Hundred international artists and 1.000 entertainers.

Participated in the Carnaval 2008 are also Miss marina Đặng Thị Minh Thu, second runner-up, Miss Vietnam international Chung Thục Quyên (she’s also a participant in Miss tourism international contest in China) and Quảng Ninh-born singers: Hồ Quỳnh Hương, Hoàng Tùng, Hoàng Thái Ngọc Anh (1^st prize winner of Sao Mai contest).

Carnaval Hạ Long 2008 will be closely supervised and guided by the Provincial Party Committee, the People’s Committee of Quảng Ninh province and organized by Company Sơn Lâm, Hà Nội
